What is a PDF sewing pattern?

A PDF sewing pattern is a digital product that becomes available for download after the order has been completed and paid for. No physical product is sent by post.

The files can be saved to your computer and printed in the most convenient way: at home on a standard printer or at a copy shop using a large-format printer.

Which files are included with an ERGOMODELS PDF sewing pattern?

After purchase, you receive the pattern in the selected size and height group, where applicable, in two formats:

— PDF A4 for printing on a standard home printer;— PDF A0 Copyshop for large-format printing at a print shop, copy centre or on a plotter.

Both formats are included in the same purchase, allowing the customer to choose the most convenient printing method.

An information sheet is also included, containing the list of pattern pieces, cutting layout, fabric requirements, garment and sleeve lengths, wearing ease and fabric recommendations. The pattern pieces include seam lines, seam allowances and all necessary markings.

How do I choose the correct pattern size?

Take your main body measurements and use the size selection calculator on the ERGOMODELS website. Separate calculators are available for women, men and children.

After receiving the result, compare your measurements with the appropriate size chart and check the height group where applicable.

Wearing ease is already included in the pattern construction, so it should not be added to your body measurements.

How do I print the PDF sewing pattern correctly?

For home printing, use the PDF A4 file. In the printer settings, select 100% scale or “Actual Size” and disable options such as “Fit to Page” or “Scale to Fit.”

First print the page containing the test square and measure it with a ruler. Print the remaining pages only after confirming that the scale is correct.

The PDF A0 Copyshop file is intended for large-format printing at a print shop, copy centre or on a plotter.

Are DXF and projector PDF files included?

No. The standard PDF sewing pattern, the professional DXF pattern and the layered projector PDF pattern are separate products.

The standard PDF pattern includes both A4 and A0 files. The projector format is designed for projecting the pattern pieces directly onto the fabric without printing on paper and usually includes three consecutive sizes.
