3D Garment Modeling and Sample Making

ERGOMODELS creates 3D models and presentations of individual garments and fashion collections using professionally developed patterns.

The three-dimensional garment is constructed from the actual pattern pieces, taking into account garment construction, proportions, ease, fabric properties and fit.

3D garment modeling can be used both before making a physical sample and after the sample has been sewn, fitted and approved.

Pattern-Based 3D Garment Modeling

The developed patterns are imported into professional 3D garment software. The pattern pieces are digitally sewn together and evaluated on a virtual avatar.

Virtual Fitting Before Sample Making

Before fabric is cut, the 3D garment is used as a preliminary virtual fitting. It allows us to view the design in three dimensions, compare it with the original sketch and technical drawing, evaluate the main proportions and identify changes before producing the physical sample.

  • Adjust the silhouette and volume

  • Modify garment length or proportions

  • Refine the position of construction lines

  • Check how individual components work together

  • Compare fabric, colour or detail options

  • Agree on the visual direction of the garment with the client

Physical Sample Making and Fitting

After the preliminary 3D evaluation, a physical sample is made using the corrected patterns. During the fitting, we evaluate the real fit, balance, proportions and behaviour of the selected fabric. Any required changes are transferred back to the patterns. If necessary, an additional sample is produced. Development continues until the garment is approved.

3D Model of the Approved Garment

After the physical sample has been sewn, fitted and approved, the 3D model is updated according to the final patterns. The final 3D visualisation represents the approved garment construction. The presentation can be used for internal approval, client presentations, collection development and visual communication before production begins.

  • Accurate silhouette and length
  • Final fit
  • Placement of construction details
  • Selected materials and colours
  • Front, back and side views

3D Fashion Collection Presentation

For fashion collections, we create a consistent series of 3D images that presents the individual garments as one cohesive range.
