  Choosing size and height

The base size is determined by bust circumference. For a more precise choice, also consider waist and hip circumference. When purchasing ERGOMODELS digital patterns, be sure to select the height group in the charts (women’s/men’s) — this will improve the fit.

The pattern must correspond to the body it is used for: to ensure an accurate fit, it is important to select both the size and the height correctly.

 How to take measurements

Measure with a tape measure strictly horizontally; the tape should lie snugly against the body without pulling.

— Bust — across the most prominent points of the bust and the shoulder blades.

— Waist — at the narrowest part of the torso, along the pronounced back curve at waist level.

— Hips — across the most prominent points of the buttocks, taking the abdomen into account.

 After measuring, find your size in the size chart (match your measurements to the corresponding rows).

• If in doubt, choose the larger size: a digital pattern (PDF A4 / Copyshop A0) is easier to adjust to individual measurements.
